James Service his sister Margaret and brother William all emigrated to NSW from Grillagh near Maghera County Derry circa 1850s James and William were produce merchants and had a store in Oxford Street near Hyde Park Barracks Sydney. Margaret married a Nimmo from North Sydney?- and William a Cowperthwaite. His family lived in houses he built for them in Rae St Randwick - associated names are Cohen and Moon. I''m the great grandaughter of James Service and would like to reestablish contact with the familes of William and Margaret and to share photographs of these families from my grandmother's photo album. I also am seeking information about the Service family in Grillagh/Maghera. The parents of the emigrants were Elizabeth and James and there were at least two more children a brother Samuel? and a sister Matilda (Cunningham )who stayed in Ireland.
