    3. This is a new listing. I am seeking any information on AND contact with the descendants of my g.g. grandfather, Henry Francis H HARRISON (occupation: Draper) and his wife Marrion WOOD, who most likely were married in Ireland (possibly as early as 1844) and seem to come out to Australia at the time of the Irish Famine. Marrion's death certificate (died 14.10.1888, aged 62) lists one extra child (Henrietta) who does not have a birth record in NSW. It lists Marrion's father as Thomas WOOD, farmer, and gives her birth place as Ireland and that she married her first husband in Ireland. I can find no death or marriage in NSW for Henrietta either - the only mention is on her mother's death certificate - the informant was Marrion's son-in-law, Francis HEATON (see below), so his wife, Annie, should know. I cannot find a death record for Henry F H Harrison, her first husband. In 1866, Marrion married John AIRD - she is listed as a widow on the certificate - they had no children. I can find no record of the Harrison's arrival in Australia, and so assume they did not come as convicts, but need information on their ship and when they arrived. In NSW, they had a further 7 children: Henry C born 1854 died 1854 as an infant Francis J born 1855 M. 1878 Sarah HARDING Robert J born 1857 M. Eliza Ellen FOSTER Thomas born 1859 M. ??? Marrion G E born 1861 in Woolloomooloo M. 1881 Benjamin JONES Rebecca M J born 1861 (twins) M. 1883 Henry J SHERRINGHAM Ann A (Annie Alexander) born 1863 M. 1882 Francis William HEATON I am descended from Marrion G E and Benjamin JONES (his second marriage). With the last child born in 1863 and Marrion's re-marrying as a 'widow' in 1866, I assume that either Henry F H Harrison died between 1862 and 1866 or he deserted his family, and Marrion re-married bigamously to support her family. Either way, how do I find out when and where he died? - so I can get a certificate in the hope of finding out who his parents were. Also, how do I find out when and how they both arrived in Australia? - together or separately, as they do not appear to be convicts or assisted immigrants from my preliminary checks. Are there any Musters/Censuses which would be relevant to their period - 1844 and beyond? Sorry about the length but I have given you everything I know to get the best feedback. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks Margaret Szalay Sydney NSW [email protected]
