Hello Charles, Your Bridget Larkin seems very illusive, I can understand your plight having a great grandmother who like your Bridget seems to have appeared out of thin air. Perhaps you have tried the following, so forgive me if I am mentioning something you have done before placing your query. 1) Have you thought she may have come out under another name or as an orphan? 2) Put in an orphanage when she arrived here? 3) She could have been an only child? 4) She may have come out with a relative/friend & just entered on the shipping list as 'child' 5) Have you searched under a different spelling for her entry into Oz? 6) Perhaps the shipping list with her name on it was lost? 7) Have you been in touch with David Larkin from Burpengary, Qld who has done extensive research with the Larkin name in Ireland & Aust.? 8) Do you subscribe to the 'All Ireland Sources Newsletter' published monthly by Terry Eakin, it is free if you notify Terry you would like a copy however he is away for 2 months at Irish conferences so his email is not operating for this time, I will look at past newsletters see what sources might be available for Cappinlough, Clare, if I find anything I will let you know. Sometimes we have to take a side road before we can get back onto the highway in this family history game.
