I don't think that there is a connection but we have a John Dwyer b. Tipperary, 1835. He remained in Tipperary and married mary Hickey in 1851. Raymond, if my request is too vague, then please ignore. I am looking for the Marriage of William Wright son of Reverend John Wright of Clones Monaghan. I believe he married a Jane Nixon probably from about 1816-1829. I can't narrow it down any further as the only clue I have about the marriage is a letter written by Rev. Wright stating that his son William married whilst still a Junior in College. I do know that William entered Trinity College Dublin in 1816 but didn't graduate. Thanks Carol caindc@bigpond.net.au
Hi Roslyn Thanks for all your time and help it is very much appreciated. The 'other' Charles Robert on the war graves unfortunately is not 'the son' I am looking for he was too old to be the 'other' Charles Robert's son, it would have been really good if it was - couldn't possibly be that easy could it:-)) The Charles William Easton you found b. 1911 looks worthy of a bit more research, could he be the son of the son I'm looking for? Maybe - gets complicated. I shall try to put a message out for Queensland. Thanks again, I'll keep researching........ Jacky
Thank you to Rob - how stupid!! Try again please?? Some people got there - how?? > > http://www.angelfire.com/folk/bevkerlin0 > > Sorry about multiple postings Friends - SORRY AGAIN > Bev >

Jacky I looked through my Victorian BDM and couldn't find any Charles Robert Eastons. I also looked at the NSW and Tasmanian BDM's online. Of course that does leave the other states that he could have travelled to, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, if he was a sailor like his father he could have ended up anywhere. Are you certain that the other C R Easton on the WWI graves list wasn't the son? I have heard of fathers and sons being on the same ship. I had a look also at the Australian War Records web sites, I found a Charles Easton whose origins/age etc were not recorded. He was in WWII and appears to have joined the Navy. http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/ItemDetail.asp?M=0&B=4416688 I also found a Charles William Easton in Queensland who was born 1911 and next of kin was Charles Easton (father maybe) so there is a long shot for you. Maybe you need to find someone to check the Queensland BDM's (only on microfiche I think). http://www.ww2roll.gov.au/script/veteran.asp?ServiceID=A&VeteranID=13185 Good luck with your research Roslyn ----- Original Message ----- From: <Machin7@aol.com> To: <AUS-IRISH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 05, 2003 7:35 AM Subject: [AUS-IRISH] Re: AUS-IRISH-D Digest V03 #83 > Hi Roslyn > > The Charles Robert I am looking for was born 1883 in Plymouth Devon, > England, I have got this information from the 1891 census. Hello Everyone At last there is a web page for you to browse regarding the Erin-go-Bragh's disastrous voyage into Moreton Bay, Qld. I have put it together but, being computer illiterate, I have not been able to link the Index to the pages, no pictures, nothing fancy - just transcriptions and source addresses. I will put more up shortly, but must learn how to add pages. Despite reading thousands of "help" words and receiving help from a Tom at Angelfire, I have hit my very own 'BRICK WALL' - my brain!. 40 year old son's response = "Geez Mum, you've got to scroll and scroll and ........." That is true! Please visit - it's interesting, but then I'm biased. http://www.angelfire.com/folk/bkerlin0 Sorry about multiple postings Friends Bev
Hi Adrienne Thanks for your offer re. Easton's in New Zealand. But for the time being, I think its a direction I am not ready to make yet.I Although I am very interested in any Easton's (just in case they are related!!) I don't have any information at the moment that would suggest there are any of 'my lot' there. Mind you, if I ever find my Charles Robert who went to Australia at the begining of the 20th century, that's not to say some of his lot didn't go over to NZ. Thanks again for your time, good luck Jacky

Hi Roslyn The Charles Robert I am looking for was born 1883 in Plymouth Devon, England, I have got this information from the 1891 census. Not sure when he emigrated though. His father Charles Robert born 1861 in Plymouth Devon and his mother Mary Ann (nee Reardon) born Limerick Ireland about 1873. Any help you can give would be very much appreciated. If you are looking for anybody in Dorset England I have the 1851 and 1891 census for the county. Thanks again Jacky

From: Janice R Freeman mcdade-dna@juno.com To: ALL McDADE Descendants Announcing: McDADE-DNA Project Visit: the Sept McDade Clan Davidson home page at mcdade.bravepages.com and go to the: McDade Surname DNA Project page under Table of Contents If you have questions, contact me at McDADE-DNA@juno.com You can read more about DNA Testing through the Links at mcdade.bravepages.com or FamilyTreeDNA.com. We are inviting Y O U to participate in our McDADE-DNA Project which we are expecting to be a valuable asset to our paper trail research to show how our various McDADE lines throughout the world may be connected thru : 1. your direct participation if you are a direct line McDADE male descendant (direct male in your McDADE line all the way back to your earliest known McDADE ancestor, including yourself) by participating in the DNA testing. OR 2. your indirect participation (because you are or became a male descendant of a McDADE daughter at some point in your McDADE line OR are a McDADE daughter) by finding the fathers, brothers, uncles, nephews, cousins that are direct line male McDADE descendants in your family and urging them to participate under 1. above. First, if it is at all possible, please participate in the 25 marker test as this gives us a much better analysis of the known, possible, or potential relationships. Each and every participant is an important link in connecting our various lines whether our ancestor was an early arrival in the 1600's or 1700's or a later arrival in the 1800's or 1900's in Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, USA, etc. Our ancestors may have come directly from Scotland or via Ireland, but with McDADE as the primary spelling, we are probably all cousins in one way or another. You may contact me at any time if you have questions. There is no medical connection with any of this, just a check on the male DNA markers that are passed father to son almost intact for many generations, with an occasional mutation. It is especially important to have a male participate (regardless of age) if the male is the only or one of two male McDADE descendants of a father, grandfather or great grandfather. Unfoutunately, the daughters can not do this for this particular easy, efficient, and economical test. I hope you will participate in the launching of this great project for our McDADE's everywhere. Please inform others you feel should be contacted or send me names, e-mail addresses, and or snail addresses and phone numbers for other McDADE kin. I can't wait to see how our markers reveal our potential relationships, especially if many of you will select the 25 plus marker DNA test. There are lots of Easton here in NZ particularly in the Manawatu area that I am aware of. There is a small cemetery just north of Levin as I recall which is almost a family cemetery with lots of headstones. Sorry can't remember the name just now. If you want I can check it out. Adrienne in NZ
When I have time I will look again at the BDM's. Can you give me the brothers name you mention as well. It helps now that I have the parents names as our indexes show the parents of the deceased (if it was known to the informant) Roslyn ----- Original Message ----- From: <Machin7@aol.com> To: <AUS-IRISH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2003 12:38 AM Subject: [AUS-IRISH] Re: AUS-IRISH-D Digest V03 #82 > Hi Roslyn > > Thanks for your reply, but the Charles Robert with wife Mary Ann is my > greatgrandfather and I am looking for Charles Robert their son!!
