    3. Ooh Ooh Ooh So excited. I have lent the holmes/ brady book to someone who has taken it to WA, but I WANT IT BACK, and that right early. Beatrice May Gladys Holmes (finally) married Percy White in W.A., in 1924. She lived with me and my then husband John White for a few years in Canberra. She used to send newspapers to a Holmes family in Portarlington, and I always knew that she had a connection with castlemaine and i am so excited to find out some more. I shall lean on my ex-nephew for my information. 1. [AUS-IRISH] Lost -Laird family of NSW
    2. Gillian Baker
    3. Greetings to all, I hope someone can help or advise me on the following family, who I have been unable to trace from the early 1850's, when they where in the Hunter Valley of NSW. David Laird (b. c 1804 Belfast) arrived NSW in 1841 with; Margaret Cameron his second wife (b. c 1816 Scotland) Mary (b. 1824- Belfast) Anne (b.c 1826-Belfast) Mary m1 James Phillips and had 1/ Jane b.1844 2/ George C. b. 1846 Anne m. Robert Nicholson 1/ Thomas 1844 Family verbal history says that the sisters had an arguement when the widowed Mary remarried ( but as everyone knows this is unreliable) I can find no trace of David and Margaret LAIRD after their arrival, nor Jane and George C. PHILLIPS (Mary, their mother, may not have been their legal guardian) Anne, Robert and Thomas NICHOLSON after the late 1840's They could have gone anywhere, please HELP. Regards, Gill >

    3. Hi, probably find them under Toole's in Ireland because an old friend of mine who has some connection to the family . Told me that some of them came out as Toole's and changed their names to O'Toole's after they arrived in Adelaide. Sounds Irish to me but remember the ENGLISH gave them a pretty hard time.
