Hi Could someone point me in the direction of a good website that details what it would have been like for either convicts or immigrants aboard the ship coming to Australia. I'm after one with vivid details and possibly some photos. Thanks Terri from cloudy queensland
This is not a website Terri but I can recommend Charles Bateson's Convict Ships for good descriptions of some of the voyages especially the early ones. Some photos available http://libapp.sl.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/spydus/FULL/PM/COMB/336/404183,2 this is worth a try also http://home.vicnet.net.au/~firstff/welcome.htm Meg Sunny & cold SE Qld From: "Terri Williams" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 23, 2005 10:59 AM Subject: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Ships Voyage > Hi > Could someone point me in the direction of a good website that details > what it would have been like for either convicts or immigrants aboard the > ship coming to Australia.
