Hi all I am hoping that someone may be able to help me. I am looking for when my Grandmother and her son and her sister arrived in Australia. No-one in the family knows as it was not talked about. When my Grandmother died an envelope was found in her handwriting "Arrived Australia June 28 1928 on the Bendigo" However my Grandmother did not seem very good with dates and even celebrated 2 of her sons birthdays on the wrong day and month and it wasn't known until they had to have their birth certificates. I have researched as much as I can and it seems that the Bendigo may have arrived around that time. I was wondering if someone has some information that can allow me to confirm their arrival and the route they took as it seems they did not come through Western Australia. Once I can confirm this I can go looking for my Grandfather who came out 6-12 months before his wife and on who I have no details at all. below are the details Gladys Swarbrick KNIGHT (born 1905) traveling with an infant son Kenneth KNIGHT ( born 1925) and her sister Edna DAWSON (born 1907) possibly arrived in Australia JUNE 28 1928 on the SS Bendigo. My Grandfather arrived somewhere between June 1927 to February 1928 he was Clifford Hill KNIGHT and travelled with Frank RYAN (Edna's fiancee) Thanks Michele Dasey Broken Hill NSW
