Thank you again, Ian Am off to Melbourne in a few days and plan to do lots of "ficheing" and hopefully solve some/all of the mysteries I am grappling with. re reference to Joseph Hall in Elizabeth McMillan's entry on Gamba list, am hoping there is mention of his place of abode. It may be another brick wall but must try it in any case. Coincidentally, I found a copy of an Elizabeth Mc Millan's registry of marriage in the archives of St John's C of E, Mansfield yesterday. She married someone else, though it's just a bit weird that 2 people with the same names, linked as they were, turned up within a few kilometres of each other. Almost good for a Mills and Boon! Thank you again for your help.
