    3. Hi Everyone Would someone please be able to advise me where to further search to verify that this gentleman is my husbands father. This person travelled on the 'ORSOVA' leaving from London in late 1922, the ship arrived in Melbourne, Australia on January 23 1923. He is shown on the passenger list as Mr. A. C. MILNE - 23 - Lamplighter [ I believe this was something to do with the lightships off the coast of England? I would very much like to find out what his initials stand for. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA. I've had no luck this end. Sue Western Australia

Even for some years after WW2 there was gas street lighting in England and these lights were lit by hand and extinguished by hand > I would very much like to find out what his initials > stand for. What should they stand for ? . Perhaps look him up in the 1901 UK census..........maybe a clue in that Bye MargM Beautiful Central Coast of NSW
