Yes, Steph, it's a great feeling, & lately I've had some exceptional "finds" & in the process have acquired 4th cousins with whom I've been in contact, & before I never knew that they existed. They're all female, so as I have no sisters & no female 1st cousins, it's just lovely - a new family no less. Yes, Steph, I would like to keep in touch with you, you seem like my kind of person. I'm 71, have 5 kids, 9 grandkids & 2 great-grandkids, but all but one son live far away in Tassie, Nimbin, country Victoria & Queensland. I'm 5th generation Australian, but lived half my life in England because my husband was a Brit. Been back in Oz since 1988, now living in Melbourne, but I miss England which was very good to me: gave me an education for one thing. I started my family history search because I enjoy research & so I can leave it all as a legacy to my 16 descendants: I've become thoroughly "hooked" on it as a giant ever-changing jig-saw. Just wish I'd become interested in it while I was still living in England where there are so many resources at hand. Now I'd like to hear your potted biog! I look forward to hearing from you.
