I am researching William and Sarah Moore who arrived in Sydney on the "Champion" from Ireland on 5th October 1840. They eventually settled in Cowra NSW. Can anyone assist with information on them or their descendents. Phil Moore

I have found the following information which might help: Sarah Moore d Cowra 1890 Reg. No. 4692 Parents unknown William D Moore d Cowra 1901 Reg. No. 5160 Mother Mary William Moore d Cowra 1911 Reg. No. 1248 Mother Mary A Father William Allan Moore d Carcoar 1864 Father William Mother Sarah Charles Moore d Cowra 1876 Father William Mother Sarah John Moore d Cowra 1917 Father William Mother Sarah There are 33 births to William and Sarah Moore between 1840 and 1888. Obviously they are not all yours but three of them were in the Cowra district - at Carcoar and Forbes. There were two others - at County Cook and Vale of Clywwd, both be on the way from Sydney to Cowra. If this helps, let me know and I will look for more details for you.
