    1. Visit by ship Condor to Adelaide in 1851

    3. In 1851, the cargo ship Condor (but also carrying some passengers) was berthed at Adelaide for about seven weeks - from May 11, 1851 until approximately June 30. One family (Mr & Mrs Newton and three children) was destined for Melbourne, but apparently stayed on board - or on land at Adelaide - during this prolonged stop. Can anyone tell me where I might uncover any information on the Condor's stay and/or of that family. Allan Jamieson Burnie Tasmania
