Hi listers, help is sought for the date of arrival in Australia of Joseph James FELTON (b1824 Marylebone d 1904 Goulburn NSW) from London. He married in Goulburn in 1866. He either travelled to Australia alone, or with a younger brother John George Felton (b1826), or, if the whole family emigrated from London, with father Joseph Felton (b1794 Belchamp Walter, Essex), mother Emily (Piggott) (b1800 Bobbingworth, Essex) and three children, Joseph James, John George and Catherine (b1828). Joseph James Felton married Jane Brabham in Goulburn NSW in 1866, so he arrived in Australia between 1824 and 1866. He died in Goulburn in 1904. He and Jane had four children, Emily Jane (b1867), Frances Louisa (b1869), Robert James (1870-1927) and George Henry (b1872). Descendants of Robert James are not able to help with this, but perhaps the descendants of Emily, Frances and George may have some information. I am uncertain about which registers and records to access to find the information about the date of arrival in Australia, having tried all the obvious ones which seem not to list passenger names separately. The information must be available somewhere, I hope. I don't think he appears on any convict lists, but, once again, I am not certain if I have accessed all that are available.
