Hi, Anne, I expect you have heard my :Family Stories.! (Re: George and Charlotte) <g> Thank you so much for that site. I shall try in the morning, when my brain might be more acute. When George SHEPHARD was in Bathurst/Rockley, he was a farmer. Heaven knows from where he actually came, seeing that his DC says he was b. Yorkshire(to a James and a Sarah WINTERBOTTAM.) Cannot find either of them, although I have Ancestry Census! Maybe he was illegitimate? If I ever get to the bottom <bg> of this family I shall be eternally grateful ! to me or anyone who can help me ! I am not 'lazy', but can't leave the house at present. Best wishes, Carolyn. Bathurst. We just went to visit the family member who told us all this! Lovely visit and a few 'fish' offered, but he didn't take the bait! ----- Original Message ----- From: <acpittard@optusnet.com.au> To: <aus-immigration-ships@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, June 29, 2007 2:23 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Voorwart - Hoffman > Caroline, Mine was a master mariner, he took his family to sea with > him & two of his sons were born off the China coast, but they were on the > lists.
