    3. G'day Sue, There were actually a lot of COEs when I loooked at the website, but this one was the one that stood out in relation to the information you gave. You can actually look at scans of the passenger list for the ship that Archie R COE came out on, but you will need to register at www.findmypast.com (which is free) and then buy units or a subscription to view either a transcript of the passenger list or the actual scanned image of the page of the passenger list he appears on. IK think a transcript costs 3 units and an image costs 10 units. You can do a search for free (eg for anyone with a surname of COE) and it will give you a list of the names of passengers with that surname, their port of departure, their port of arrival, and their age. You can then select to view a transcript or image (if you have bought units and are logged in). This will give you details of the ship, dates of departure and arrival, and normally more details about the passenger. I hope this helps you Sue. Good luck with it. It could very well be him as Coe is an unusual surname and Archer/Archie too is unusual. I have only been researching now for just over a year and this is my first relative who immigrated. Can you suggest what I can do now to find out more i.e. what ship he arrived on etc. Kind regards. Maybe that's him? Archer Robert COE was born in 1890 in Deptford, London. All I know is that he emmigrated to Australia some time after 1901 as he is still living at home in England in the 1901 census. I would love to know where he went, which ship he went on, did he marry, where he lived etc. etc. Thanks for any help you can give me.
