    3. Hi, All, Seeing the list is quiet, may I repost a question I asked a while back, since I now have more definite information than I did earlier? SHEPHARD (sic) family, parents George and Charlotte (who say they were married in England, but may not have been as I have not been able to find a marriage anywhere there) came to Sydney with daughters Hannah Elizabeth and Sarah Ann. Mary Jane was born 3 Jun, 1859 at "Summerhill", Co. Georgiana, Rockley and registered in Bathurst on 1 Aug, 1859. The 2 older daughters were then aged 4 and 2. As they were already in Bathurst in June, 1859 and had landed in Sydney, travelled across the Blue Mountains in a bullock- harnessed dray, the supposed 'family story' that Mary Jane was b. abt 1860 at sea does not ring true. If the journey took about 6 weeks(?), they must have landed earlier in 1859. I am not sure whether they were assisted or unassisted immigrants, but I have been unable to find them on any on-line shipping list. Would SKS have any idea as to how I could locate their arrival? Best wishes, Carolyn. Bathurst.
