    3. Hi Marie, Beltana was one of the "B" class ships built for P & O, conventional in design and appearance, but boasted a high standard of accommodation for a maximum capacity of 1100 passengers. The route these ships sailed was via Cape Town, Durban then first Australian Port of Fremantle. The "B" class ships were Ballarat, Beltana, Benalla, Berrima and Borda.
