I'm looking for an image and any information on the barque ESTRELLA. It's possible that my great grandfather, William HUMPHREYS / HUMPHRIES, arrived 1870 in Auckland from Liverpool on the Estrella. Did it call in at Sydney? Thanks for any help, Maureen in Sydney
Hi Maureen, The only information I can find is from The Times Friday June 17 1870 Advertisement NEW ZEALAND - The passengers Line >From Liverpool Estrella, 1000ton - Port Auckland To sail June. The ships are all first rate passenger packets, fitted and equipped upon plans founded upon long experience. Shaw, Savill & Co., 34 Leaden-Ball St., London. Kind regards, Lynne.
