Hello, All, I *have* 'done my homework' and spent days on trying to discover this family's movements, on which ship they came, from where etc. Names: George and Charlotte SHEPHARD. It appears that an unnamed daughter was born 3 Jun, 1859 at Summerhill, Georgiana (near Rockley N.S.W.) and registered on 1 Aug, 1859. Given that they presumably spent some time travelling from Sydney to Bathurst (if, indeed they actually landed in Sydney?), their date of arrival must be well before Jun, 1849. I cannot discover the name of the ship on which they travelled: perhaps they were "unassisted" passengers? Could sks please advise me as to where to go from here? Best wishes, Carolyn. Bathurst. P.S. Just a thought: was there ever a ship called "Collingwood" arriving about that time?
