    3. hi Lynne, Wow, thank you! I have spent hours looking for this person including searching the micro films at the State Library, Sydney, with no luck & the detailed online indexes that I have been looking at don't cover the period in question. Fingers crossed, a little more cross checking & this will indeed be the correct person. regards, Kathy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lynne Radford" <lynne_r@tpg.com.au> To: <aus-immigration-ships@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 30, 2007 9:51 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Ships leaving UK 1890-1929 > Hi Kathy, > The following is a possible from Qld State Archives > http://www.archives.qld.gov.au/research/index/imm1884_1912.asp > ROBERTS, Margaret, age 18, arrived on the Bulimba, 22 Aug, 1887, Ref. > IMM/122, Page 210, Microfilm Z1963, Microfilm 2 IMM/122 > > There is a Pat Roberts, age 21, arrived on ship Bulimba, 5 Nov. 1885, Ref. > IMM/120, page 392, Microfilm Z1962, Microfilm 2 IMM/120 > > Information re the ship, if the above Margaret Roberts is the correct one. > ship "Bulimba" departing London on the 9th September 1885, arriving in > Brisbane on the 5th November 1885. > > BULIMBA 22 08 1887 Brisbane London 28 > 06 > 1887 PL M1702 (imm/122) > BULIMBA 1881 > The BULIMBA was built in 1881 by A&J.Inglis, Glasgow, and was a 2,510 > gross > ton ship, length 96,26m x beam 11,64m (315.8ft x 38.2ft), one funnel, two > masts, single screw.
