    3. Hi, Robyn, You must have learned Latin!! There is no plural of ASIMUS (not from the Latin anyway: seeing that it is a German surname.} ASIMUS plural would have to be ASIMUS (? 4th declension): I have also seen it spelt as ASSIMUS on the nsw. bdm. I am just trying to work out why they came to Rockley, as did the SHEPHARDs within a year or so? Was there land available there or what? Why Rockley (about ? 70 kms from Bathurst?) Way away from anywhere at that time. Family story (loads of rubbish I am sure!) says that the SHEPHARDs 'knew that they were going there' ! Do you have any idea how I can find out why Rockley was "the place to be" ? Best wishes and thank you, Carolyn. Bathurst. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robyn Horan" <robynvh2@gmail.com> To: <aus-immigration-ships@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 23, 2007 7:15 PM Subject: Re: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Passengers on "ARAGO" arr 6 Sep, 1857 > Hi Carolyn > > I used to live in Orange and I can remember a few Asimuses (Asimi?
