    3. Hi, Lynne, I feel very thankful to you. (So speedy, too!) Carl ASIMUS became the husband of Hannah Elizabeth SHEPHARD (the eldest daughter of the family about whom I'm always talking and asking!) When I saw the date of his arrival into AUS, I sort-of wondered if the SHEPHARDs could have arrived on the same ship. I had seen that passenger list and as usual, I'm fast becoming used to the fact that they were probably amongst the myriad of "Unassisted" arrivals viz. X married couples, X children under age x etc. Still, Carl became a farmer at Rockley N.S.W. and so did Hannah Elizabeth's parents (viz. "Bathurst Landholders 1885" Bathurst FHG.) Today I received the packages of wills and probates for Hannah Elizabeth's parents, George and Charlotte from Maria Skierawski who has recently started a great research service.(vg, too!) Very exciting to read a will of 1879 drafted in original Solicitor's handwriting ! Still, as yet, no clue as to their birthplaces or date of marriage. I thank you very much for your ideas. Carolyn. 3. Hi Carolyn I used to live in Orange and I can remember a few Asimuses (Asimi? What's the plural?) living in the region. It's not a very common name so they probably are distant rellies. Try the White Pages. Cheers Robyn On 23/07/07, Carolyn and Darryl <dazwilson@bigpond.com> wrote: > > Hi, Lynne, > > I feel very thankful to you.
