Carolyn, Did you decide it was SHEPHARD as opposed to SHEPHERD? On bdm there is a Mary A Shepherd died 1890 in Bathurst with parents George and Charlotte and a James died 1928 in Bathurst - same parents first names. Not sure if someone can do a look-up to see Charlotte's maiden name on the dcs? Hi, Jane, Trouble is that there are 2 families in Bathurst similarly named. A George WILSON m. Charlotte HOLBERT in 1837. They were both convicts. I have decided on SHEPHARD for the reason that 95% of 'mine' were spelt SHEPHARD or SHEPPARD. However the James who died in 1928 'may' be mine; I have all their deaths somewhere (??) <g> He was b. 1862. George and Charlotte didn't have a Mary A, only a Mary J. Mary A SHEPHERD was Mary Ann WILSON b. 1837 and married George SHEPHERD in {unreal!!} Bathurst Presbyterian (where loads of our rellies were married )! These WILSONs and SHEPHERDs belong to an email friend of mine. Very confusing that we both have WILSONs and SHEPHARDs (sic) Thank you for thinking of me and trying to help me. Best wishes, Carolyn.
