Hi all I have a "journal" written by my great grandfather on his voyage out to Australia from Ireland (via Liverpool) on the "Albion" in 1858. He has described some of his fellow passengers along with their antics and quite a few colourful incidents along the way. Also his impressions and description of arriving in Melbourne. Some people he describes in detail but does not give their name. This may be of interest to anyone who had immigrants on the same ship. The full names he does mention are: Walsh (or Welsh) of Dublin (related to the Spains of Nenagh Tipperary) Stokes (son of innkeeper at Felhard) Power (of Kilkenny) Murray (of Nenagh) Sullivan (of Galway) Baker (of Dublin - father was a clergyman near Cahir) Other references are to the surname first initial only. please get in touch if you are interested to know more.
