Researching a James Hill who emigrated to Tasmania from UK in 1842/1843 with his wife Lydia (Kempy). A son, William Frederick Hill, was born on board an unknown ship off the Tasmanian coast on 30 Nov 1842. The birth was registered at Longford (near Launceston) on 9 Jan 1843. Suspect other siblings in this family. James was a farmer around the Longford, Perth and Evandale outskirts of Launceston. Would be grateful for any information about this Hill family but particularly I would like to know what ship this could have been.
