    3. Hi The newspapers of the day would most likely have an account of the voyage. Most newspapers are on Microfilm at the libraries Regards Pennie Queensland Shippin http://maryborough.50megs.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Dennis Wilson <dfwilson@idl.com.au> To: <AUS-IMMIGRATION-SHIPS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 13, 2002 9:46 PM Subject: Voyages of Interest > Hi all, > Hope someone out there can tell me how to access accounts of the following voyages: > *The Guildford, 1824- > Convict Joseph Shepherd, from England, > *Formosa, arriving NSW 4/7/1840- > William & Cicelia Carruthers and son John. > Free settlers from England. > *George Fyfe, arriving NSW 23/1/1840- > Donald & Margaret McInnes and 9 children, > assisted passage/free settlers?? from Scotland. > I would be grateful for any assistance. > Frances Wilson. > > > ============================== > Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: > Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. > http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com > >

Could be a ref in the Sydney Gazette newspaper ( on film at the Mitchell/State Libraries, Sydney ) Check the AGCP films of the UK PRO records , also at the Mitchell See if hes been claimed on www.users.bigpond.net.au/convicts > *Formosa, arriving NSW 4/7/1840- > William & Cicelia Carruthers and son John. > Free settlers from England. > *George Fyfe, arriving NSW 23/1/1840- > Donald & Margaret McInnes and 9 children, > assisted passage/free settlers?? from Scotland.
