William SUTHERLAND and his wife Christina ROSS arrived in Sydney, New South Wales in January, 1839 from Cromarty, Scotland. The ship was the 'Lady McNaughton'. This ship returned to Sydney 16 Dec 1840, which leads to these questions. Did the 'Lady McNaughton' sail only between Cromarty and Sydney? If so, for how long? If the 'Lady McNaughton' carried human cargo to Australia, what was her cargo on her return voyages? Any and all advice or suggestions about where to seek/find answers to these questions (and/or details about the 'Lady McNaughton') will be appreciated. With thanks in advance, Frances Bishop bishad@direct.ca
