Hello to the list, I have recently joined the list and pose my question forthwith in the hope someone can help me out. My ancestors arrived in South Australia aboard the Morning Star in May 1863. The ship left Birkenhead in Liverpool, England the previous November ( I think it was November). I cannot find where my ancestors originate from apart from the entry in the BISA which states Glamorgan, Wales as their home. Husband and wife and son and two daughters are not listed on the IGI (to my limited knowledge on this family as far as I know). However I have a General Immigration Registration of Applicant Number which is for Humphrey JONES and is 3160. Can anyone advise on whether this number could be used by me somewhere to obtain Humphrey and families origins. Any help and/or advise very much appreciated Have a nice day and happy hunting.
