Is someone able to check immigration records for John Henry Stevenson. The years that would need to be checked are around 1860. I think he was a free passenger as I have checked the online index of assisted immigrants from the state records office with no luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hi Steve, As far as I know John Henry Stevenson was a remittance man - his family paid for him to go away. I am still trying to track down more info. His father was a coach builder named John Stevenson but I can't locate his mother as yet. John Henry was born in London according to his death certificate.
