    3. Jill and Mike, Have you tried checking the "Unassisted Passenger "list on line at "Public Records Office Victoria "- I managed to locate my gg g'parents arrival in June 1889. The list provides individuals by surname who traveled to Victoria, giving name, age, dependants etc. Also provides fiche no. so you can obtain copy of passenger transcript. You may also like to try the "Ship Transcribers List" on line and also search "genealogy Portland." Hope this is of some help.
