Hi Listers, I am new to the list and am hoping some one can help me. I am trying to locate the ship that my ancestors arrived in Australian on and then the ship that bought them to Tasmania. The following family came from India to Australia....but I cant find a ship with them listed. I am looking for: Joseph Archer ALDRED b. C1839 in England but married 1864 in India. Lucy Elizabeth ALDRED (nee Conwell/Cornwell) Children (born in India) George ALDRED b. 1865 (about 13yrs) Ada Elizabeth Ann ALDRED b. 1868 (about 10 years) David Philip ALDRED b. 1872 (about 6 years) Edward Frederick ALDRED b. 1873 (about 5 years) Joseph C. ALDRED b. 1874 (about 4 years) William David ALDRED b. 1876 ( about 2 years) Charlotte Amelia ALDRED b. 1878 in Coonoar Hedy, East India The first child born in Tasmania was in 1880 so hence they must have came over between 1878 & 1880. I can tell you 4 of the above children married in Tasmania but as for the others I don't know as yet or died in transit or before getting on board. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
