Maria LADSON and her brother Alfred are reported to have emigrated on "Hope" (probably from London) on 30 March 1855, arriving "Melbourne" 8 July 1855. I am about to go into Google to look for those ships, but in the meantime I would be glad to hear from anyone who has access to passenger lists who could tell me whether other individuals of those names were on the same voyages. Related surnames back in London included: LORD, FISH, OWEN, RICHARDS, SALTON, TAYLOR, and possibly BOATMAN. Thanks very much for any help. Gordon Barlow
