    3. This is my first posting, and is the only interest I have. My GGGrandfather, John Harper, CAME FREE on board the first sailing in 1820. I know many names of those on board from the 1828 census, but I need more to locate his roots in UK. His father was said to be a Colonel in the British Army and John is said to have been born in Chelsea. Does anyone know for sure whether a passenger list exists, or not? Does anyone have any clues about the Military connection? I have done so much work on my tree in Australia and am frustrated by this brick wall. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
