Would anyone on the list have any info. re "The Derry Castle" - I am taking a punt that this is the ship my G.Grandmother came out from Ireland on in 1855 as a sixteen year old from County Donegal. Her name was Ellen (Eleanor) Hamilton - I tracked this info down from the PR Office in Melbourne but it carried little or no info. as to who she was - no parents names of where she had come from (Donegal). I have had great difficulty tracking down any info on this lady - can't find any records on her in Ireland or her parents - Claude Hamilton & Susan Baird. I presume she came out alone - but not knowing if she had any siblings, I can't say for sure. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Elizabeth.
