    1. [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Harrington
    2. Animesh Harrington
    3. Hello I'm looking for a John A Harrington (b 1831 Ireland) probably arrived in Australia in the 1850s with his wife Mary. The daughter, also named Mary, was born on the boat coming out. The ship might have originated in Ireland or possibly England. The other one I'm looking for is John Joseph Harrington (b 1872 Tipperary, Ireland) - no relation to the one above. Probably arrived in Australia in the 1890s. Hope you may be able to help. Thank you in advance Animesh Harrington

    3. Hi Val, I was talking to staff at the NAA office here in Bris last week and she said the fee has been in place for around 10mts the she could remember. Some years ago I requested digitized records for seven people they were all free so I was surprised to learn thay I would now have to pay for them. She said I could hope that someone else would request them and they would pay or I could wait 5 yrs or so and all the records would be digitized and online free. They have just finished the WW1 records and ready to start WW2 records. Maybe I won't have to wait five years because I need the D's. 3. Jane thank you for your generous offer. I am interested in a James Lomax who traveled from England, returning to Australia, in the period 1901 to 1903. He had been visiting family in Lancashire. He may have been accompanied by his wife, Emily, and children Mary Esther, Samuel Milton, William Stanley, Ruby and John Victor. Many thanks Cherrie Cameron -----Original Message----- From: aus-immigration-ships-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-immigration-ships-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Jane Drayton Sent: Monday, 23 July 2007 8:41 PM To: aus-immigration-ships@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Ships leaving UK 1890-1929 Hi all, I have a subscription with Findmypast.com to check all ships leaving the UK from 1890-1929 but it expires on 31 July. 3. Hi Jane. Many thanks for the info, The James Kelman is possibly mine, also the Mr G Kelman could be his brother George Birnie Kelman. The Edward and Mary Jefferies look like they may possibly be mine, now just have to locate their sons Edward and Arthur. I would love a complete ship passenger list if it is not to much of a hastle, Lyne, Thankyou for the record for Jefferies, i will see if i can check the inbound records for the OPAWA and hopefullly they can elaborate on who the names were,, Thankyou ladies very much for your help. Lance Jane Drayton <draytonj@bigpond.net.au> wrote: Hi Lance, The only entries that look like your Jefferies are an Edward and Mary Jefferies who departed London on 20 dec 1912 and landed in Fremantle WA. Both listed as 63 years old so birth date seems to match - occupations agriculture and domestic. No children mentioned. This was on the ship AJANA. There were 365 passengers on the Papanui. A James Kelman was traveling alone - listed as 24 yrs, single, farm labourer. Dept London on 18 August 1911. No Jane Kelman is listed. There is a listing for a Mr W Kelman traveling with a Mr G Kelman on the ship Kaipara which left London on the 1 Dec 1911 and arr in Fremantle. Both described as single farm labourers - no ages given. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else like ship's details, capt etc. Jane --------------------------------- Yahoo!7 Mail has just got even bigger and better with unlimited storage on all webmail accounts.
