Would like to know if there are any passenger lists into Sydney after 1900. I have not got a year as yet, but have been told that the person I am looking for was born in either England or Scotland. He died in NSW in 1935. I am waiting on the death certificate to find more info but in the mean time would like to know if there are any passenger lists after 1900. The parents of Frederick apparently also came out to Aust to claim custody of a child that he had. with thanks Sandra Home Page - Index BAKER, DILWORTH, MCCORMACK, QUIRK, MATTHEWS, MITCHELL THOMAS, HURST, MELVYTON
Hi all, Would some kind person do a lookup for me please? 1852 from Britain to Victoria ROBERT KERR aged abt 52 wife MARY KERR aged abt 47 and 11 of a family. I have appealed for a lookup for this family once before and had one reply which I followed up but not the right ones. Through Roberts Death certificate I can now give 1852 as the year of immigration. Thank you so much. Midge

Hello everyone, I have just joined the list, because I have a couple of Australian problems and no idea where to start, so I'm looking for inspiration! My G Grandfather, George Herbert BARROW and his brother James ran a Soap Manufacturing Co in Bradford, England called S.Hemingway and Co. At some point James BARROW is reported to have run off to Australia with large sums of money and the secretary. In 1881 James was a lad of 9 living at home with his parents, and in my Grandma's diary of 1915 he doesn't show up, so I am assuming he would have gone left between about 1892 and 1915. My second problem is Philip FIRTH, my Grandma's brother. He was born in the early 1900's and we have photo's of him still in Bradford as a young man. He also set sail for Australia, and there are family stories of him having drowned in Sydney Harbour, though I don't know whether this was on arrival in Australia, or after having lived there for a while. I suspect he would have gone to Australia in the 1920's or early 30's. So has anyone got any suggestions as to where I could start? Regards, Sarah Interested in: FIRTH (Leeds/Bradford) BARROW (Bolton/Bradford) HARRISON (Leeds) HARGRAVE (Holbeck) GREIG (Glasgow & London) MORLIDGE (Stoke & Derby) HOMEWOOD(London/Essex) EASTWOOD (Leicester) GALLOWAY (Pudsey)

Can anyone tell me if there are any other immigration records that may help identify what ship Ernest and Charles RENDELL travelled from Southampton to Melbourne on in 1913? Indexing at the Melbourne public record office only goes as far as 1912, so if the ship's name is unknown it's a mammoth task to search all the ships for that year. Gary Matthews Gippsland, Victoria

Dear Marilyn Sorry I cannot help you with your enquiry but you may be able to help me with a Sheehan family I am looking for. My great aunt Ellen Susan Sheehan (nee Stuttard) and her husband James A. Sheehan emigrated to Australia sometime after they were married in London in 1916. I don't know if James was British or an Australian in London during the war. We have no record of James and Ellen since their marriage. My family has lived in Australia since 1964 and we would like to make contact with our cousins.
