Hi list, I'm looking for information on a possible convict Owen Quinn that may have been on the ship Cadet but whether he was a convict or immigrant is unknown. I can only find one reference to the ship Cadet which came in 1844 but surely the ship made more than one run. Can anyone help? Darren

Hi Brian, I'm also interested in the 'Lloyds'. My John and Elizabeth WHEATLEY came to Australia in 1856 on the Lloyds. I have a printout from the ship's register with their names on it. I've had it for ages and (way back then) didn't write down the reel number. This is a different register to the one on http://mariners.records.nsw.gov.au/1856/09/015llo.htm. I can just make out the top of the page "Immigrants per Ship 'Lloyds' as inspected by the Immigration Board 4th September, 1856." This register gives some good information on the immigrants- maybe you'll be lucky with your crewman. Please let me know if you find a picture of the Lloyds. Hi Brian, This is from Mariners page, gives some details http://mariners.records.nsw.gov.au/1856/09/015llo.htm Brian I think it would be good to post this on [email protected] as there are a few excellent people on there, who seem to have most of the answers. Especially details of the ship Kind regards, Lynne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Westwood" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 20, 2005 8:21 PM Subject: [AUS-IMM-SHIPS] Lloyd(s) > Can any good Lister provide me with information on or about the Ship named > "Lloyd(s). Hi I have just started researching Michael Forrestall and his wife who arrived in Australia in about 1868 and had a daughter Katherine (Kate) who was possibly born on board ship. Kate married John James Owens in Adelaide on 20-1-1894. I would like to make contact with Robyn who had a posting on this site in Feb 2002 seeking information about Kate Forrestall or any one who may have information. Kate is my Grandmother Colleen

Hi folk, On an application for naturalisation there is a reference to what looks like the " Martin Scott sailing ship arriving in Fremantle on the 27th of January 1889". It is a little bit hard to read the name of the ship but that is my best interpretation. Does anyone know of or has heard of this vessel ? I haven't been able to find anything so would be pleased to have some assistance. With Thanks, Llew
Dear Wendy, That would be really nice of you to do that for me. All I know is that he came out before 1842 which is my first "sighting" of him in Australia, that being his marriage day in Sydney. Hi there listers (apologies if you get this message more than once, but I've sent it to all the lists I subscribe to currently)... Is anyone using programmed called "Family Historian 2.2 LE" to keep track of their family tree data? I obtained this 'light edition' of this programme from the latest NetGuide magazine and I was wondering if anyone else has been using it. I've found it really useful but I have a few questions which don't seem to be answered in the users guide. Can any one help? Many thanks! Suzanne [email protected]
