To All who replied Many thanks for all the help and guidance given. I posed the question more in hope than anticipation and was amazed to find with 24 hours I had information on Annie's marriage and of their deaths in the Perth area. The surname LOVE is correct. My Aunt always said that great Aunt Annie married her 'true love' - I always took that as just an expression - I hadn't realised she meant it literally! My Dad is fairly certain Annie had 2 daughters and that they were both older then him. However, Dad was born in 1929 and, assuming the children arrived after Annie's marriage, they would be both younger than him - time does play tricks with family memory etc. I also suspect Annie may have emigrated a little later than suspected (up to 1930). The original date of 1926 was based upon 2 children being born before my Dad and working backwards etc. I also identified a record on freeBMD which gives a birth record for Edward Ernest LOVE Mar 1903 in Hendon, London - which fits. I now know when and where Annie got married and when and where she and her husband died. I have yet to find out when she travelled to Australia (with Edward? - family memory would suggest yes) and details of their descendants. Perhaps that will be the subject of a further search in the future. All the best and thanks once again - I do appreciate the effort people have put in on my behalf. Can any one help with information which may assist in locating the ship and arrival date in Australia of Michael Forrestall and wife Catherine D'Arcy/Dorsey/Dorstay, who emigrated from Ireland and probably disembarked in Adelaide. Non confirmed arrival year of 1868 on the Omega, however I have been unable to locate any records for ships and passenger lists around this period. Any assistance would be appreciated. Colleen

Hi all, I'm researching for a friend and don't know whether anyone can help but I looking for the date and ship that took John Hartopp Greasley and wife Ann to Australia. Dates believed to be between their marriage in Sept 1864 and 1 Dec 1869 when their first child, Lucy, was born in Brisbane, QLD. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Geoff Underhill
Hi Bob - nice to see you're still around. Cheers
Hello from Melbourne. I am looking for any assistance with my research. My Grandfather, Percy Harold Ryton BENSON was a ship's stoker in June 1907. My Grandmother and her family arrived in Brisbane on the '' Orotava'' in May 1908 and Percy was there to meet them. I have not found him in assisted or unassisted migrants lists, so possibly: He worked his passage here He "jumped" ship in Australia I have checked the NAA, no luck. Any other suggestions will be very welcome. Cheers, Bob
