    3. Hi Beverley I can't help with the main part of your message, but the name JASPER caught my eye. I have German (not Cornish) JASPERs.... Johann Joachim Elias JASPER was born in Teutendorf Moor in Mecklenburg in 1830 and arrived in Victoria, Australia in January 1858. He came with Maria Sophia Helena SIEMSS who he married in South Australia. I have done a LOT of research on my Jasper and Siemss forebears. Johann's father was born in Luhburg, his father in Basse. One of Johann's sisters married a SCHULTZ in Sanitz, also. I would love you to say your Jaspers are German, but I'll understand if they are the ubiquitous Cornish lot! All the others in Australia are, at any rate! Regards Leonie Oliver (nee Jasper) Binna Burra NSW
