Hello, I would just like to add to Naturalisation information. Prior to 1903 naturalisations were done in each Australian colony, and were subject to separate Acts. >From 1904 naturalisation records are held by the National Archives in Canberra. Only 10% of these records are on line. If one is looking for naturalisation after 1904 and the name of their ancestor is not on the National Archives site, ring the National Archives office in which ever state you are in and ask them to check their index. They will do this and give the reference numbers to order the records. Some Genealogical libraries have the index on fiche from 1904 to 1917. Prior to 1904 there are naturalisation indexes on fiche or film in main libraries and PRO's of what ever state you are researching. Yvonne Hughes

You have answered some of my questions that I didn't know who or how to ask, thereby removing a major frustration.
