Hi all, My German/Australian Interests are: Louis Becker who came out in 1857 on the Hertzog Paul. I believe hhe came out because he did not want to go in the army or so the family information says. He came from Frankfurt Hessen Germany. and Martin Mudra and hhis wife Anna and their son Matthes/Mathias/Matthew who came out on the Victoria Landing in Port Adelaide in 1858. They were from Prussia. Any information would be appreciated. Rosie. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ainslee <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, January 15, 2002 9:10 PM Subject: [AUS-GERMAN] New Links? > Hi all, > > Wow, just checked out the stats and we now have 204 people on the list. Greetings. My grandfather was Heinrich Diedrich Fock. We do not have a firm date of arrival in Australia but believe it to be about 1878. He married in Rockhampton Queensland in 1880 and his marriage certificate shows his parents as Heinrich Henning Fock and Katrina (nee Borgharrsen). His date of birth was given as 14 March 1850 at Finkenwerder, Hannover. In my childhood, there was talk that he was a sailor who "jumped ship" in Australia but we cannot find any trace of his arrival. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Eric Fock
Just quickly reposting my interests: Rentsch Otto Albert, Walter Rentsch, Wilhelm Rentsch, Luise Graumann, Iuroic Braumann. Regards Bernie Green.
