Hi Listeners Following are the details of the KADEL family I am researching: My great-grandfather Heinrich (Henry) Otto KADEL was born in Frankfort Am Maine, Hessen, Germany on 23 April 1835. He arrived in Sydney in August of 1858 on the William Kaisener (I haven't been able to find out any record of this vessel) . He married Elizabeth Thumb (or Damm, Daum) on 20 September 1858. They stayed in Brisbane town about 12 months, moved to the Condamine region for about 2 years where he worked as a boundary rider on various properties. He moved to Roma, Queensland in about 1865 where he worked on various properties and later became involved in the planting of the grape vines at Roma Villa. He died in Roma on 10 January 1924. Children of Henry Otto KADEL and Elizabeth KADEL KADEL, Wilhelmina Susanna b. 11 June 1858, was either lost in the bush or stolen by aborigines in about 1864 KADEL, Caroline (Bena) b. 22 Sept. 1860 in Condamine region of Qld. D. 3 June 1926 Roma Qld KADEL, John Allan b. 1863 in Condamine region of Qld. d. 30 July 1910 at Merivale Station near Mitchell Qld. m. Margaret Jane CLELLAND 10 Dec. 1884 KADEL, Elizabeth b. 1865 in Condamine region Qld. m. Christian Frederick GABBET 19 Apr 1881 KADEL, Louisa b. 22 Oct 1865, Mallan, Condamine region, Qld m. Joseph WISE 22 Dec. 1888 KADEL, Archibald b. 1869 Roma Qld. d. 3 Sep 1949 never married. KADEL, Sarah b. 1 April 1871, Roma Qld. d. 4 May 1941 m. Ernest KUPFER 23 Sep. 1891 KADEL, Henry Otto KADEL Jnr. b. 22 Mar 1873 at Tooloombilla Station, Marinoa District Qld. (my grandfather) d. 19 May 1941, Roma, Qld. m.
