The part of Brandenburg, in which the Ost-Sternberg county is located in, is also known under a historical name Neumark. When looking on the internet for any possible leads, look for Königswalde in its correct spelling (use umlaut and transliteration, if you can) as computers are so dumb, that asking them for Konigswalde will nit have them realize that references to Königswalde and Koenigswalde would be what you need. With Sternberg as a sear word, the Ost-Sternberg will be recognized as hits, but you also may want to look with the word Neumark as a conditioner of your name searches. Because, though our ancestors did not enjoy the beneits of railroads, airtravel and automobiles, they were amazingly mobile. They seem to have weaseled all over the maps more than the currently folks are inclined to. You get the idea, I hope (?) ... Here are a few research leads for you. Which could mean, that several unrelated Kramm clans lived in the area. The Neumark-L archives (you need to be subscribed to access the archives, subscription is free, but everything is in German) hold a total of 89 mentionings of the Kramm name in one context or another. --- Now, let´s see what the Neumark-L has in something plus ROPF department. I did not look for ZROPF, as I am German and as such, I simply do know that this spelling is not a valid spelling but garbage. The area of the Neumark is the area of Germany, which was hit the hardest by World War II. When the war rolled over the Neumark, 40% of the civilian population did not survive it. And most buildings were burnt out ruins. About 90% of all church and civilian records of the area have been lost forever.
