    3. > gestorben means - near death or on death bed it is the past participle of sterben (to die): "died", "deceased" > ehepartner und kinder probably means, married partners and children Ehepartner = spouse > begragen means to bury parish records, civil records, genealogical records, and obituaries usually use the past participle, which is identical to the infinitive with "begraben". Thus more often than not, "begraben" will translate into "buried" or "interred". When the word stands alone and is follewed by a date or any other statement of time, it is the past participle that is used.
