    3. Can anyone help me with Louisa Siebert (or Seibert or Sebirl or similar) who is said to have come to Australia about 1853. She married Andrew John McDougall on 6 January 1880 in Grafton. Her death certificate gives her fathers first name as Clement. Although I have heard she arrived at Moreton Bay on Caesar Goddefroy in 1856 I can find no mention of her name on the passenger list. Any help appreciated - Barry.

    3. Hi Barry Check the passenger list for Jeibert. Old German Script J and S looked similar. Good Luck. 3. The History of the German Community in the Clarence River District gives Clemens and Margaretta (nee Grosz) Siebert arriving on the Caesar Godeffroy in 1856 in Sydney. They had a daughter Louisa who married Andrew McDougall in 1880. Seems to fit with your Louisa.
