Does anyone in the AUS-GERMAN familie know the factor to convert the old German maritime capacity COMERZLAST unit into metric mass or volume units? My folks came from Clausthal-Zellarfeld, via Hamburg on the Godeffroy in 1848/49. My research indicates that the ship had a capacity of "180 COMERZLAST."
