Hi all, does anyone know of any programs that can help keep a record of what records you have searched etc and what information you have obtained? i have 7 folders of information and am getting a bit snowed under. Any info appreciated, thanks, ainslee http://www.ainsleehooper.com/
Hi Ainslee, Not really sure what you want, but I use a programme called ISYS Desktop. This programme indexes my hard drives (total 80gig), and I can search on any keyword. The programme indexes all sorts of files, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, mail attachments, and so on. A search takes less than a second. ISYS fixes my PC laziness. Wherever I store info ISYS will find it. However I don't think it indexes genealogy databases. For more specific info, contact me. PS I have no relationship with ISYS, except to have bought a copy of the software.
