This is the same ship/voyage my great-grandfather arrived on and I was wondering if you had read the interesting incident which occurred in Sydney when the shipped docked. Much written in the newspapers about this "slave ship". Also can be found in the Kopitzke Hamburg to Australia book. It seems some were indicating that the passengers on board had signed a document saying they agreed to work in Qld - but they were unaware of this as it was in English. Lisa how did you manage to obtain this document, as I would like to see if my gg had signed one also, altho he ended up 2 months after docking in Victoria - he well could have been one of the four who disappeared! regards Denise > Georg Wilhelm Koch a.k.a.
