    3. Hi Ross, The book may not be available still to purchase, but no harm in trying ! It was published in 1981 as it covers Freeling 1860-1980. I have the authors as Thelma Kuhlmann and Owen Bockmann and it was published by the Freeling Women's Agricultural Bureau in September 1981. I will make further enquiries for you if you like as my dear Mum is a member of that Bureau and I will get back to you. Re - Gabel no mention sorry I don't know of any books on the Barossa Valley which would mention that surname, where abouts did they live? I know there is a book written on Truro which the author is Reg Munchenberg and a very good book, I know the S.A. State Library has that book. Also Re- Gabel I have a Glatz male married a Gabel lady and they went from S.A. to Dimboola Vic and settled? I can check on what their christian names and the little I have on them if you think there may be a connection! Looking forward to hearing from you and hope there is as I have been "stuck" on them for ages! Regards to all, Judy. 3. Hi Judy Please, any additional info would be great. My G Grandfather Johann Wilhelm Gabel & wife Emilie Marie Louise nee Hoffmann arrived in QLD 4 Oct 1877 onboard the Fritz Reuter ex Hamburg with their 3 children Paul 9y, Carl 8y (my Grandfather) and Emma 3y . Somehow got to Freeling where they owned land, then moved to Angaston and Moculta (Where I lived). Pauline Marie Emma Gabel born? died? married Ernst Gustav Hermann Glatz 26 of Penrice on 1 FEB 1896, son of Ernst Gustav Heinrich Glatz. If this is your Glatz, fantastic, as I have no info on this branch of the family and would love to exchange info with you. What I have been told is that brothers/uncles of my G Grandfather arrived in Aust around the same time from the Dobersaul area of Germany , now Poland.
