thank you Albert, I might just look for that book. It sounds a shocking and fascinating story. A friend of mine came from Germany after the war, as a child, and was treated dreadfully, and yet he fought for Australia (or whatever) in Vietnam. My great great grandfather was German, though I have no idea of his background. I have been profoundly disturbed by the way that our country has treated those who are considered "different" and therefore dangerous both historically and currently. We must never forget that once we were the "aliens" who invaded this country and imposed unspeakable suffering on it's indigenous population.
